A possible base for a Ranma/Kaori Daikouji pairing

For submitting and talking about story ideas. Idea submissions must be at least five paragraphs long, and include plot points, summaries of which characters are involved, and, for fanfiction, how it differs from canon. Both original and fanfiction ideas welcome. Though original works should have more development. Replying posts must give actual commentary, no "GREAT IDEA" or "THIS SUCKS".

Reminds me a little of Michiru for some reason.
And she knows her worth, she is fast and educated. a huge contrast to Ranma and the others.
As far as character traits go, I'd say she has several rather unique ones in Ranma.5

Yeah. It's a pity that she wasn't developed further. She'd have made a nice addition to the cast.

She was one of the most unique characters even from the one-shot ones.
there were a few other characters, but in Ranma, she is one of the few (don't remember any others) with true principles.

One question: What does it say about her father when he decided to engage his daughter to the son of a man who couldn't even pay for his own dinner? He can't be all that bright (or concerned for his daughter's future) if he'd do that.

Either that, or he did it with the intent of getting Ranma *away* from Genma. Most traditional families would be sickened by such an irresponsible parent, and very likely consider adopting Ranma.

Especially considering Ranma was literally a baby at the time.

I believe Aondehafka brought up this very point in Nocturne.

It would be easy to bring her into the plot. I.E. insert Ranma, Akane fight scene over Akane's food. Parents jump in demand Ranma apologise. Ranma refuses, so they throw him out of the house until he does. As he starts to leave Akane blindsides him with malet sending him to LEO. He lands in a forest making crater. Ranma awakes in a tent. Finds Kaori cooking over fire. Talk over meal reveals shes been banished from her clan until she redeems her self for loseing Ranma. Ranma feels bad as another life has been destroyed by his fathers lies. He swears to himself to help restore Kaori's honnor. So they travel together, and a freindship starts to grow. (Room for crossovers as they travel and learn new artforms.) Both working as waitresses and delivery girls. Shrine maiden, grounds keeper at shrine for board and keep, and training in rare arts. Ect. Ect..

We seem to be having a rash of these lately.
