Yep, you're getting more confident in how you draw, and it shows.
One bit of advice, though. In the past, I've been in contact with one or two fan artists in Japan who were very good, and one exercise they did to help them develop was to practice drawing in established pro artists' styles. The idea was to help them come up with their own styles by practicing others and figuring out how and why they did things they way they do.
Since your style is a kind of mix between Japanese and Tex Avery, you might try emulating Tex, Walt Disney, and various of your favorite mangaka as practice. Look at still frames or comics frames and try to copy 'em, and see if you don't get better over time.
BTW, Walt Disney is in there because modern Japanese styles were strongly influenced by Disney at his height as an animator. That's where they got the "big eyes, small mouth" thing.
Heh. When I used to show anime to people who'd never seen it before, in the days before it started showing up on mainstream TV and cable, they used to ask me "Why do they have such big eyes?" It never once occurred to them to look at Disney and Warner Brothers as the source; they just took the American cartoon industry's use of the style for granted and never made the connection unless it was pointed out to them.
