"Guess That Anime" Game

What you talked about for the last few posts was aimed at Neko. Give a clue that the rest can understand.

Does that mean I'm the only one that can actually dig through clues given? I'm viewing everything that's been said as a clue for everyone to go by. Granted... the 'Yes it is' and 'No it isn't' answers Bliss gave were a bit obscure to the point that it was kinda hard to see what was a clue, what was correct and what wasn't.
Anyways... New picture is a bit to small to see appropriatly, but I'm quite sure it isn't an anime I have ever seen. Something with a car and flying squid like that (if that's actually what it is) would have been bound to have stuck with me over time.
Since it's a tad late at the moment I'm not gonna go on and guess for the moment. Anyone else is welcome to try tho.

The anime is a sequal (of sorts) released after 1999... and is a romance, drama...comedy with some action thrown in.
And yes that's a giant flying squid monster and a motorcycle/scooter in the second picture.

As to the new assignment... No clue. Then again, kinda hard to have clues when you just shot your brain.
Basically we're talking manga here, but they have appeared in other anime and manga? Must be quite the popular orginal manga then. The search engines for manga are more limited then anime... This one I can't begin to fathom at the moment

A popular pair that have their own manga spin-off although they've been in anime and other mangas.
I can assume from the closeness of the two that they're friends? It's much harder to place the year because this clearly looks like an image from a manga rather than an anime although I can't be too sure.. the line work and color seems more like a poster or what not than from an anime...
In short. I have no clue at all.

They weren't that popular, their appearances elsewhere (mostly from the one anime series I saw them first in) was mostly for comic relief.
Also, their appearances elsewhere fits the pattern that all the series they have appeared in are part a single fictional universe.
Another clue is the visual style of the pic.
Yes, their friends and partners where their secret identities are concerned and their ultimate boss is only 11 years old.

Yes, the manga series that they starred in is what I'm looking for.
They are friends and partners in and out of costume and it is a CLAMP pic and that us the one clue that should enable you guys to guess this.

And it's none of those. Damn it!!! This is bugging me like crazy!
