Combining Uniforms, How to make a Fuku similar to this?

Request, Submission, or Review of Fanart. Again "fukufic" content preferred but not necessary

Do you think crossing other uniforms into Fuku Designs is a good idea?

Did you use an online translator for the French Sailor Moon quote? I watched the anime in French and that's not the one Usagi used.
And that's the bottom line 'cause Dumbledork said so.

I think it was probably something like freetranslation.com afterall why would she call out the glory of a silver plated millenium or say the punishment is in the name of the Queen of the moon? (note I used freetranslation.com to see what it claims was written.)

Here's the original French quote:

Je suis Sailor Moon et au nom de la Lune, je vais te punir.

And as it's so much fun and as I've also watched the German version ^_^) here's the German quote (if you ever do the nazi fukuf):

Ich bin Sailor Moon, und im Namen des Mondes, werde ich euch bestrafen
And that's the bottom line 'cause Dumbledork said so.

Dumbledork, thanks for the translations of Moon's phrase.

I was relying on my rusty memory of highschool and first year university french.

It should translate as

For the glory of the Silver Millennium in the name of the Queen of the Moon, I will punish you.

(in this case Revolutionary 1st Empire Senshi Ranma wouldn't say "in the name of the moon" because she isn't Sailor Moon")

I notice AltaVista Babelfish translates it as Silver Plate too.
But if you take off the é at the end of Argenté it translates as Money (i.e Silver)

And the reason for saying For the Glory of... is because the French always seemed to be doing things for the Glory of France.

Might do a German one, but of perhaps an earlier period.
How do you think she'd look in a pickelhaube?

Whenever I see the helmets with those thicker spikes I always end up thinking Cavelry. Are there any Uniforms for horsemen/women that would work out converted to a Fuku?

Only problem with the pickelhaube is that you yourself have said several times that hats are out.

World War One German uniforms aren't a good subject for conversion. They were too plain and undistinguished, and didn't have anything like the theatrical design found in Word War Two German uniforms. You'd be better off going for something from an earlier or later period.

If you look at this page, you'll see that Imperial German uniforms of the war years were bland. They were using dull colors and few decorative elements. While you could make a fuku out of some of the characteristics, it wouldn't be very exciting to look at -- about on the level of a Brownie's uniform except with a shorter skirt.

Scrolling down this page, you can see some dress tunics worn in pre-WWI Germany. They do have several that are elaborate, but the problem is that if you turn 'em into fuku, and you end up with something that looks like it's from a marching band instead of the Imperial German military.

I was thinking Franco-Prussian rather than WWI.
Anyway the pickelhaube was just a ruse.

but the problem is that if you turn 'em into fuku, and you end up with something that looks like it's from a marching band instead of the Imperial German military.

Yes, it tends to get into that or cheerleading style rather easily.

Wow, you're spoiling us. I love the Oni Senshi. Here's an easy one... Revolutionary Girl Senshi Ranma (the Utena uniform should be very easy to transform). And how about a Musketeer Senshi Ranma? How about a Robotech Senshi Ranma?
And that's the bottom line 'cause Dumbledork said so.

I see the Censors got to your Oni Ranma-chan. You'd have thought that people would be tired of having the makeup department fill in navels way back when they were being forced to do it for the Laugh-in TV program. Can't show a visable belly button.

All of the uniforms are great so far.

Hehehe, you're right. The belly button is generally not the part I look at.

Yeah having any skirt at all kinda puts the ammount of coverage higher than Lum's wardrobe.

[[off actual topic]]
Oddly enough, the belly button is possibly a sexual fetish in japan.
I remember reading somewhere, that they go out of their way to depict a belly button as pleasantly as possible. (IE: a vertical crease, with the belly button right in the center, though usually viewed at an angle.)

[[On Topic]]

Those were some, interesting uniforms.
