Another problem is direct linking images on someone elses forum/site is stealing some of their bandwidth. With so many free options to upload the image, some even letting you put the images URL from the other site in. Why waste someone elses cash like that?

There is a rules thread stickied for this on this same board. And it is supposed to be the first correct guesser but they can pass it on.

And I guess I need to step in at this point. I can't believe we missed that in the image section of the site rules.... Yes, direct linking images is considered a form of bandwidth theft, so we don't want to see it done here. I suppose I'll have to add that to the rules.

The thread about playing the game is here. The answer to the procedure question is covered, and there are links to two of the free image hosting sites.

Next, people here do and will check the file name, so it needs to be renamed before being uploaded to an image server.

Battlekrome, you can repost that picture or use another one, but don't direct link it again. Download it to your computer, rename it, and then upload it to an image server.

In the dream Alita didn't fight, was in fact quite bookish, wore dresses, and was in love with Nova. Thus, it isn't based off of the dream reality at all. Also, I'm pretty sure her name was Gally in the original Japanese, either that or the OVA's were just wierd.

The series name in Japanese was Gunnm, and the character's name was Gally. "Alita" was the name given to her in the English version of the manga.

That's why you copy the image to your computer first. If right click is disabled you can sometimes find the image by looking at page source and if you are currently on the page and put it's direct URL it will often give you only the image without protections. If you are using Mozilla's browsers there are also tools under the view menu like Page Info.

Right... Can we get this thread back on track???? Or do I need to post up the next challenge now??? For a quick link, just copy the image, and upload it to imageshack as a one-shot image. It's what I do with Imageshack...

Since Battlekrome doesn't seem to log in very often, I'll step in and confirm this to get the game back on track.

The list of High School! Kimengumi characters on Wikipedia show illustrations that are clearly recognizable as being those from the clue. I'm calling this one solved.
