So Mau isn't getting a whole chapter to it's self? There's allot to learn and who knows how they would treat outsiders? After all they are a system that is protected by Senshi and any galactic alliances they might have now wouldn't include anything to do with the system of the old Silver Millennium by any stretch.

Mau will get chapter 23, so that's actually an entire chapter. Ranma would end up returning to Earth at the end of that chapter.

I found a scene in the Ryo-Ohki OVA that shows Ryoko has either psychic abilities or temporary invisibility with telleports. The scene where she tosses all the luggage back onto Tenchi at the Hot Springs on the trip where they trash the place. I can't really find any other sign of it but it is something Tenchi might remember after they start talking about this 'evolution' in the house.

It could probably be a form of telekineses that she used as she was teleporting away. In OVA 3 against those robot creatures, she showed some psychokinetic ability.

There was never anything shown or stated about invisibility though. It's possible, but then again not.

Yeah it didn't go into any detail about how she crushed the low level marionettes. They just seemed to detonate at her glare.

Edit: Weren't Washu and the others there already before the bath house was made? It does seem to fit more to the Jurrian Asthetic than anything seen tied to Ryouko.

I could even imagine Ayeka salvaging antigrav components from the wreckage of her ships exterior to help make it. But well between Ryouko having a Crystaline ship and having spent centuries in a cavern, astral projecting barely beyond it's confines to view what's happening whenever she could, just makes me have trouble believing it's her design.

The first appearance of the floating onsen was in episode 5 of OVA 1. Washu does not appear until episode 6 of OVA 1. I believe that Ryoko was responsible for the onsen in the OVA. In Tenchi Universe, the onsen was Washu's creation.

One thing I never figured out: How does Tenchi get up there? Ryoko can fly, Washu undoubtedly has some mechanism for defying gravity, Ayeka and Sasami can hitch a ride on Azaka and Kamidake, but Mihoshi and Tenchi don't have anything like that.

Ryo-Ohki crashed too. And she clearly had technology in her crystalline form that was able to beam up the house. Perhaps they worked out a remote control for that system and incorporated it. I could easily see that but once again I keep thinking it was more likely a consensus for the plantings and design rather than something purely by Ryouko.

I ended up typing 'Masaki Floating Bath house', and a couple results I ended up getting were...

The Bath "House":
The floating "bath house" seen in the Tenchi Muyo OVA has its origins unknown. It more or less just appeared in the series without explanation. The best theory points to Ryoko as the builder of the bath house. Because she was designed by Washu, she was able to take advantage of Washu's technology to create anything from literally nothing so long as the user had the plans for the object to be created. Due to the fact that Washu was still imprisoned inside of Kagato's ship at the time the bath's appeared, the possibility of Washu being directly responsible for the appearance of the baths can be totally ruled out. However, all thoughts on the matter point to her being indirectly responsible through Ryoko.

Where did the floating onsen (bath house) come from?
In OVA episode 5, a floating onsen suddenly appeared, with its entrance marked "ladies" and "Tenchi". Ryoko made it. Washu developed a system (5000 years ago) that could make anything out of thin air as long as a blueprint existed. Ryoko used this system to create the onsen, which she had become fond of after episode 4.

Edit: The timeline on the Tenchi Muyo FAQ also states that Ryoko created the floating onsen (Bath house)

Something's been feeling off about the fight and I just realized what it is.

Ranma never once thinks about splitting to fight Ryouko in even numbers. Even though she's been practicing that way I'd guess almost daily between studies at Hogwarts. Why wasn't there at least a thought about it included?

You know something about worrying about running out of energy too fast or something to rationalize her not doing so. Most of the one sided aspects of the mid fight are because of the Number superiority.

Ryoko didn't create any doppelgangers until the part after Ranma becomes visible again. Before that, they were fighting one on one. Due to Ranma's distraction, Ryoko decided to create them to box her in.

One on one IS even numbers, right?

Then what is this?

“I’ve been practicing.” Ranma answered with a smirk. After getting the hang of the doppelganger ability, she would usually train against it when she didn’t have to go to Xellos or Happosai. “You’ve probably been sitting on your ass all day, though, right?”

The ex-space pirate raised an eyebrow at the young redhead’s cheek. Her own smirk appeared on her lips as she extended her hand and formed a second energy blade. “Then how about we take it up a notch?” At the slightly slack-jawed look on her opponent’s face, Ryoko gave a rather sadistic chuckle. “Well, since you’re obviously so good, I decided that you could handle fighting against two.”

Maybe it's the continued sleep deprivation but from this point on and things repeatedly mentioned as being from multiple angles my mind keeps going back to thinking there is more than one of Ryouko involved in the fight even with a clone not specified. Two swords one in each hand isn't as clearly reinforced after having the doppleganger aspect already mentioned.

Also even if it were still one on one the fact she thinks of her splitting ability and then not having any more thought about it's tactical possibilities in this fight seems off. Even a stray thought about how doing that would be unfair with Ryouko staying as a single being would help clarify it all.

Ah, so I phrased that paragraph completely wrong near the end. Ryoko didn't create a doppelganger, she created a second sword. By 'handle fighting against two', she means two swords.

I need to re-phrase that.

Excellent new chapter. Here are some mistakes I found (and I think you should replace some of the semicolons in the second part by commas, but I'm not sure)

had known at the cat-girl => known that

Nashigi new of => knew

sight of Ranma; floating => Ranma floating

opponent, bounced => opponent but bounced

feeling of non-comfort => discomfort

What's the rest of the context on that bounced one? That one correction doesn't seem quite right to me.

Edit: Um something else came to mind. This chapter is mentioning the power of all 3 gems. Something Ryouko never really had outside of flashbacks in series. Will you be adding a part in the Side of Wild Magic where she is given all 3? It kinda brings up questions involving the survival of Yosho and Funaho if she does have all of them.
