The Z is Puffed

So I ended up getting a rather weird idea as I was laying in bed last night, and it was something I couldn't really ignore.

The idea? A Dragon Ball/Powerpuff Girls crossover/fusion.


Professor Bulma Briefs gets an idea one day to dabble a little in some chemistry. In the process, she accidentally mixes some volatile chemicals together that result in her laboratory exploding. Thankfully, she wasn't seriously hurt, but her lab was destroyed.

What she ends up noticing, however, is that the resulting explosion managed to actually create three very young boys. The oddest thing that she notices about the three young children is that they each have a brown, furry monkey tail swishing behind them.

After calming down from the excitement of having actually created three children out of basically nothing but a chemical explosion, she quickly decides to give the three boys names.

Their names: Goku, Vegeta, and Brolly

Not long after, Bulma discovers that the three boys possess a variety of super powers, such as the ability to fly, shoot blasts of ki, super speed, super strength, and countless other abilities.

Goku loves to eat almost every chance he gets, and so Bulma has to make sure that several non-lethal traps are set to keep him from pilfering food. He's also rather carefree and likes to help, and while he isn't too quick to anger, he can be a beast when his point is finally reached.

Vegeta is rather bossy and gets annoyed about things rather easily. He has a desire to be the best, and doesn't like the idea of being left behind in anything. He's the smartest of the three, but he has his moments where things get past him and cause him to become confused.

Brolly is much more prone to using his fists for things, and he tends to forget his own strength at times. He has a habit of losing his temper and composure whenever Goku gets under his skin, and the two can often be seen bickering amongst each other.


Together they all live in the town of West City, which is run by the much loved Mr. Satan, the hero of West City.

Goku, Vegeta, and Brolly don't really make a huge habit of being super heroes.

Goku actually will try and be a hero any chance he gets, because he doesn't like the idea of just leaving someone to be in terrible trouble.

Vegeta would be reluctant about playing the hero, but the idea of possibly being rewarded for something that he did would be too good to pass up. If there's nothing in it for him, then he would attempt to ignore it, and only play the hero if he's in the mood.

Brolly... well, he'd basically just cause problems


Other fusion analogs could also be made within the story.

The Ginyu Force = Gangreen Gang
Frieza = Mojo Jojo
Super Buu = Him
other characters to be thought about.

The story is basically one that's crack/humor fic potential, and not an outright serious story unless it somehow leads to it.

I would rather see a PPGZ fusion.

Then instead of having them born together you could use the scattered bright and dark lights and even make it so she was originally examining a fragment of Bu just like the trapped particles of Him in the Iceberg to make this fit a bit better and all you would need is all the participants to actually be on Earth when the big blowup spreading the energies that transform everyone happens.

Heh. My first thought seeing the title was that this is a Puffy Ami Yumi crossover. That's just how my mind works, sorry. Imagining Ranma-chan in a kind of K-On/Melancholy Haruhi/Ami Yumi, girl-band crossover is more my speed. Of course, you could always have the PPGs in a K-On crossover but I wouldn't know what to do with Vegeta other than having him be their music club advisor and sponsoring teacher.

Getting on topic, placing the Saiyans in the Power Puff Girls' situations does not seem like much for an original story. They'll fight off an evil monkey out to take over the world and probably destroy it, themselves. My preference would be to make sure this is a comedy adventure like PPG but that would dilute a lot of the original idea making it read more like a direct substitution of PPG with DBZ characters.

Anchoku: I think you just made me laugh at thinking of the sheer craziness of Ranma in a girl band. XD


And actually, they wouldn't really care much about the idea of saving the world. Well, Goku would be all for it, but Vegeta and Broly wouldn't care all that much. 'Saving the day' would only be something that happens by accident. Besides, they're freakishly powerful, and could waylay just about all of the criminals easily... just like the PPGs.

I'm not really sure how the idea entered my mind when it did. XD

Monkey + Fighting = Dragonball in any incarnation. It's only a matter of time until anyone who has watched any PPG series thinks of a crossover or fusion between the two.
