Edit: Forgot to mention that I did watch the first episode. The shameless references to certain seiyuu aside, I'm not entirely sure how much of a reference Akane's comment about 'mobile suits' is. ^_^; Did Inoue Marina do any voice work for a Gundam series, or does anyone know if members of the production staff worked on one or more Gundam series? </probably off-topic>

Someone on another site suggested that it was probably a reference to the MS-18E Kämpfer from 0080.

Question: Could Ranma theoretically heal by pushing/shoving ki into someone's body (at certain places, naturally))? (This is related to the above thought about the Zauber powers - I still doubt they have any application other than offensive abilities, but... who knows?)

Strictly regarding ki, I'd say it's highly probable. If ki can cause such a dramatic change in Hinako's body, for instance, what else could it do? Also, as a related matter, there are such things as acupressure, acupuncture and the chakra that can manipulate a body's condition by specific stimulation, that can redirect how energy flows in the body, and that can affect a body according to how it's utilized and taken care of, respectively. So, I'd say that, if someone knows how to send out their ki for a specific purpose, either in its nature or technical application, it should be possible to heal with ki. That's my opinion, anyway.

It sounds slightly reaching, though (and yes, I've seen Gundam fanatics in Japan, so it wouldn't surprise me if it was indeed the case )

Crescent Pulsar: In fact, I was actually picturing Natsuru attempting to apply those methods in an effort to help someone, when I asked the question... ^_^ (Hmm... for some reason, I want to say Natsuru would be a better choice for that than Ranma. Ranma's got ki and ki control, but he does tend toward being a bludgeon.)

Okay, watched episode seven, recently. More references (and that's not counting the Harry Potter reference...). Have they done any Umineko references (as I haven't looked into that series, yet)?

...and I was already considering what would happen if Ranma was assigned to a new Kampfer color, the only person actually assigned to that color at the time...

Maybe Ranma's Harakiri Animal could be drawn from the multitudes present in Kaede's bedroom?

I don't know... I tend to think Ranma would be too busy beating the thing up (or attempting to), to ever listen to it, were it a panda.

I'm thinking it might be difficult to do a proper crossover/fusion with Kämpfer because so much of the plot makes little sense so far. I am hoping more of the background will be revealed soon but the Kämpfer anime looks as if it is a shonen, harem story. I would need a place to graft Ranma, with his own harem-ish background, into it. Perhaps, when the business about the moderators becomes more clear, an opportunity will present itself.

Who knows, maybe Tendo Kasumi, or Ninomiya Hinako, would like to be moderators.

Of course, you could also view it as giving you a fair amount of leeway.

Female Natsuru seems to have little problems attracting any of the students in the girls' half of the school, certainly, so would that count? ^_^; We'll just have to wait and see whether or not being a Kampfer means you end up attracted to Natsuru in some form...

For some reason, I just wondered what would happen if Mikoto were somehow related to a member of the Ranma cast, or Fuurinkan/Nerima wasn't that far from the area in which Kampfer takes place. Though, I can also see Ranma visiting one of the Kampfer cast members, and somehow gaining the attention of the moderators and being chosen, then having to fight a score of suddenly-revealed Kampfers in Nerima (when did Azusa become a Kampfer? ) as well as finding him/herself entangled in whatever Natsuru and company are attempting to solve, constantly moving between districts (and don't put it past Shizuku to somehow manage to make female Ranma a student at the school... ^_^; )

Chapter 15 in volume 3 indicates that a defeated Kampfer is literially deleted from the World. (exact quote is; "She is utterly and completely erased from this world!"). Probably need to wait till later chapters to confirm, but my guess is all history of the defeated Kampfer gets removed as well.

And the results of the opening part of both the manga and anime heavily suggest they do it all over again once the 'game' is over (as in literially a computer game with Kampfers as the Player Characters).

I actually think that he shoudn't be timid. i think he should be a complete and utter PYSCHO. 'cause he is all honorable and junk like that. Oh, btw he also has the possiblity to have ALL the powers 'cause the Vacuum Blade or Moko-takabashi could count as a zauber 'cause zauber are any type of energy attack, sword are any type of blade attack and could the Neko-ken, and the gun thing is any type of projectile and he could use hidden weaponery and that could count as the gun thing or he could just hide guns in subspace. speaking of which do you think he has a natural subspace pocket in his stomach? any answer will do
