I'm lookin' for a Ranma & Tenchi cross (at least)

I came across one story that reminded me of this other story that I (of course) read a while back. What I think I remember is this: alien invasion; some people escaping to space (I think Ranma fought off alien baddies while other Ranma 1/2 characters got on the rocket/spacecraft); setting eventually focuses on a ship (ocean-faring), where (at least) Ranma and Washu reside; Washu ends up changing Ranma so he's like Ryoko (with or without the gems; I can't remember); Ranma may or may not have been stuck as a girl.

I thought the story that reminded me of it would be it, but it ended up being another story. I haven't exhausted my own search, yet, but I fear it's old enough for it to be buried in the Ranma 1/2 section of FF.net. If it's even there. I don't think I read it at the author's site, but I didn't find it at Ranmafics... I think I may have read it at Ladycosmos. (I tried to find it using archive.org, but I couldn't get the page when I searched for it. ;/ )

I know the story you described. Washu repeatedly ended up chastising Ranma trying to get her to be more careful so that there would be some of the original her to revert to Human. There really wasn't a choice in Masu replacement parts. I can't remember the title off hand but I know I found out about it in one of my search requests in this board a while back. Problem is I made so many it doesn't help narrow it down much...

Ah, good ol' Process of Elimination. One of the best Ranma mega-crossovers out there in my opinion.

Considering the last time it was updated was 2006, yet he has continued to produce other fics, I think it is safe to say that the rewrite is abandoned or at least forgotten.
