I never said I had problems with DA.

Penny was more or less the main character of the original. Gadget never solved anything without her and Brain pushing him along. I didn't like it cause it was just a repeat of the old stuff.

The problem is more or less the same one that I have with Season 2 Gadget. They tried to treat it as a formula instead of continuing what made the original season great. Sure there were some constants to it but trying to use it as a formula is what killed most of the comedy.

Thunderbird, unlike the other remakes really is good though. You should give it a chance.

Now Nickelodeon is all tween live action and Spongebob. At least they're trying to pave the way with Harvey Beaks and the Loud House.

Almost never.

Discounting the stuff targeted directly at kids and grown-ups, anyway.

Nickelodeon was my channel of choice as a 4-year-old. If there was a program on it that aired between breakfast and bedtime, I watched it. No questions asked.

Did you know that when the network first started broadcasting on Cable it had a different name?

In December of 1977 the TV show Pinwheel started. At the time it was the flagship of Channel Pinwheel. As you can see the channel changed but the show kept going with the old name and that show kept going until 1990. Considering the station name change happened on April First I think it might have been an april fools joke that stuck.

I miss the eighties and early nineties of Nickelodeon. It pretty much hasn't existed for me during the past two decades.

Yeah I only found out about the name change because I was looking into Pinwheel after they shut it down.
