The point on the generals is a good one. I'm spawning Ranma-Beryl without Metallica's influence, so it ca be somewhat assumed that a normal Beryl wouldn't go around enslavng people.
Assuming she wouldn't do so, I can't see her reincarnating/enslaving the generals either.

But Beryl came up with this plan when she was enslaved, and when the gernerals had been her servants for a long time.
I can see her cloning them too.
But she wouldn't enslave her generals again.

If you're going to go by the Manga, The Senshi also killed Beryl seperate from Metallica(sic). If you're going with teh fandom thing you always do. Beryl is more likely to clone her dark generals, but why not also give them an addiction to Ranma's presence and a sense of where he is.
This would of course be very confusing to them at first, possibly making them try and kill ranma. I'd go with Shampoo, Ukyo, and Ryouga for starters. after all, if Beryl can come back different why can't they? It would be amusing if teh two generals that were in a relationship pleaded with Beryl (seperately) to come back as female so they could be together.

Jedite was put in that crystal as punishment if i remember right. Maybe that was part of a failsafe she had set up so he would be imprisioned but released if she died to carry on with the mission. I cant remember if there is any later evidence to prove his death (though it is easy to assume).

I know Eudial is said to have died in canon, but the idea was in spired by a fic called Eudial's Eulogy.

That would suit Ranma's luck perfectly! Thinks he's gotten away from the amazon marriage only to have anouther group of them dropped into his lap.
The biggest part of the decision would be the type of interference with the regular fiances and senshi you want to run. Although Im really warming up to the idea of Ranma gathering a ragtag group of survivors from the Senshi's previous encounters for anouther go at things.

I wouldn't use Ryouga as one of Ranma's generals.
Firstly- I think this is used way to much. Ranma finding out about a past life and Ryouga was apart of it in someway. Mostly being an ally of somekind.
Second- Ryouga hates Ranma and would never follow orders from him no matter what.
Plus Ryouga isn't really on the smart side and couldn't really come up with very many battle plans or anything to do with an army that he would command (or at least a battlion) so he wouldn't really work as a general.

Havn't been checking the idea's section so much as the C&C so I missed this one.
If'n you're gonna "mirror" Empire ... how about ALL the Generals being Amazons or close by them. If you want the same age Xian Pu, the twins, and either an original or minor player(or original/fanon type character) Lots of options... I'd definately have Xian Pu be one of them though, or Ku Lon herself (though a mistake where she's born early ... or if you aren't going to limit yourself to those around her age) You could also have the "awakening" of her power de-age her, or use the mushrooms. I don't remember who wrote it ... but I loved the newly "re-teened" Ku Lon in the fic Cologne for Teens."
They wouldn't be "close by" in the strictest geographical sense, (closer than the America's or Europe) but on the other hand if the Amazons are indeed loyal to Beryl... they'd have been raised from birth to be loyal to her. Kinda Hilter Youthish or the Soviet equivilent whose name escapes me ... but non-the-less effective.
Could go with the Xian Pu, Mu Tzu, and for real wierdness Pink & Link (the plant girls ... they'd fit right in as "dark generals". I know they don' t like Xian Pu... but from what I recall there was some friction between the Dark Generals in SM.
Add to the mix the skills of the Matriarchs ... ouch. Not to mention leaving room for political infighting with them. Perhaps not all are as loyal to Beryl as they profess.
Or how about Naru (Usagi's friend) maybe the youma were attracted to her because of her "aura" as a former Dark General ... and mixed up their signals. (g)
